What Is the Institute
for Discipleship?
The
Institute for Discipleship is a ministry extension of Southwestern
College in Winfield, Kansas. It was established to
accomplish these aims:
(1)
to provide funding for Southwestern students exploring
ministry,
(2) to provide highly-focused learning experiences for people
in ministry, from volunteers to full-time staff, and
(3)
to provide an online community for students of Disciple Bible
Study.
The
institute makes use of internet technology that gathers
people
into online communities. The internet, along with highly interactive
software and well-designed programs, allows the institute
to
have a world-wide reach.
