The Institute for Discipleship has several global ministries, most of which are online educational initiatives for all ages and call discernment programs for young people.
BeADisciple.com — An online learning website offering book & Bible studies, Lay Servant Ministry courses, and continuing education on a variety of ministry, formation, and leadership topics. Its goal is to make rich learning experiences and meaningful small group discussion accessible to church leaders and laity wherever they are. Churches and conferences can partner with BeADisciple to offer classes tailored to their group’s needs.
BeADisciple Academy — A long-term online Bible study and faith-formation program for high school and college-age young people. It is designed for students who want to go deeper in their faith lives and leadership skills by learning more about God, themselves, and their call. This program is currently undergoing beta-testing after undergoing a redesign.
Timothy Circle — A website, app, and mentor training program are currently under development and launched for beta-testing in 2017. Created through a partnership with the Foundation for Evangelism to be an online hub for young people trying to discern God’s call in their lives, the Timothy Circle also seeks to develop and train “Timothy Mentors” in local churches.
Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry — An affordable, high-quality master’s degree to create well-educated Wesleyan workers for ministry in the local church. This online program makes a degree accessible to students no matter their location at a substantially reduced tuition, thanks to underwriting from the Institute. Currently offered with an emphasis in Youth Ministry, with additional emphases coming soon.
